Jennifer Madsen, jazz vocalist and founder of SingBaby Productions

We are so incredibly excited to introduce you to Jennifer Madsen - a jazz vocalist, recording artist, producer, mentor and absolute firecracker! Through SingBaby Productions LLC, she makes music, teaches other artists, and helps people find the confidence to use their own voice.

Recently, she released a big band jazz album called Girl Talk and is already onto a Christmas album and symphonic project she recorded with an orchestra in Prague.

But ask Jennifer what her work is really about, and she'll take you somewhere beyond the music.

"I love helping people move past self-doubt and the belief that they are 'too old,' 'too late,' or 'not enough,'" she says. "Whether in music or life, I enjoy helping others recognize that growth, reinvention, and meaningful achievement are available at any stage."

What Happens Before the Spotlight

You can get wrapped up in watching Jennifer on stage, but there’s so much more to it than that moment.

"What [people] don't see are the years of preparation, resilience, relationship-building, and persistence behind every opportunity," Jennifer says. "Success in the arts isn't just about talent. It's about vision, discipline, adaptability, and the willingness to keep showing up long after many people would have quit."

Jennifer doesn't talk about her path like it followed a plan. She talks about it like a decision she kept making, year after year.

"Don't spend so much time waiting to feel ready," she says. "Most meaningful opportunities arrive before you feel fully prepared for them. Some of the biggest breakthroughs in my life and career happened decades after I thought they 'should' have happened. Dreams don't expire, but they do require commitment."

That advice carries weight because she's lived it. Some of her biggest opportunities showed up long after she thought her window had closed. She kept working anyway, and the work kept paying off.

Dreams don’t expire, but they do require commitment.

Beyond the Music: What Keeps Her Grounded

Away from the studio, Jennifer collects rocks and crystals from every place she travels. She spends time with her family and grandchildren and stays close to nature whenever she can.

"There's something grounding about holding a small piece of the earth that has existed for millions of years," she says. "It reminds me to stay curious, stay grateful, and keep a sense of wonder."

She's currently expanding her performances internationally, working with symphonies and jazz orchestras, and mentoring the next generation of artists. As someone who has built a career on the belief that creativity doesn't expire, she continues to move through the world as living proof!
