The goal of this experience is to take authentic portraits of women that reflect WHO they are through my fashion forward editorial style.

Meet Charla - the face of my Worthy Series
Charla was diagnosed with Stage III Colon Cancer on June 8, 2022 at the age of 45. This was a totally unexpected turn of events in her life. Her diagnosis and fight has now become 100% of HER LIFE.
Her tumor was in the Sigmoid portion of the colon and was removed safely shortly after receiving her diagnosis. Her cancer has spread to other organs and was restaged to Stage IV. Currently on chemotherapy treatment regimen for the next six months in hopes that this will be the last time she will require chemotherapy and can put this chapter behind her.
Colon Cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the United States. Colorectal cancer rates are rising in people under age 50. And people from Black and underserved communities are at higher risk.

Why over 30, why me and why now?
People find themselves sacrificing so much for their significant others, their children and their careers, many rarely do anything for themselves. Most of us spend a lot of time basing our happiness, what we wear, where we vacation and what activities we participate in, on the size of our bodies. We live with the notion that happiness exists within a certain pants size or shape. How exhausting and what wasted time! I guarantee that in the end of our lives we won't be thinking about how big or small we are, we will be thinking of life experiences we had and perhaps missed out on due to limits we put on ourselves.
It is time to celebrate YOU, the way you are, they way your friends and family see you, and because YOU ARE ART.
Who can participate?
My goal is to photograph a wide variety of unique women; all shapes, sizes, ethnicities close to or over the age of 30. People with different backgrounds, life experiences and viewpoints on their journey thus far.
With all our differences, we all have one thing in common: to look & feel beautiful in our own skin.
