As we wrap up this chapter of our Worthy portrait series, my heart is full of gratitude, awe, and admiration for the 40+ extraordinary women who trusted us to capture their portraits — and in doing so, a piece of their truth.
A Lifetime of Stories
Each woman who stepped in front of our lens brought with her a lifetime of stories: triumphs and heartbreaks, reinvention and resilience, moments of quiet strength and radiant joy. Women who had built careers, raised families, survived loss, rediscovered themselves, and shown up — again and again — for the people they love.
Together, they reminded us of something we believe deeply: beauty doesn't fade with time. It deepens. Confidence grows. Identity evolves. And the woman you are at 40, 50, 60 and beyond is worth celebrating — loudly, beautifully, and without apology.
What the Worthy Series Was Created to Do
This series was created to honor women over 40 — not as a category, but as a movement. It was created to push back against the idea that our worth is tied to youth, perfection, or the expectations of others.
Instead, Worthy celebrates authenticity, power, and the grace that comes from fully inhabiting who you are, right now. Not who you were ten years ago. Not who you think you should be. Who you actually are — in all your complexity, beauty, and hard-won wisdom.
Every session at our Kirkland studio is fully guided from start to finish. Professional hair and makeup. Wardrobe guidance. A relaxed, empowering atmosphere where you can simply show up and be seen. We handle everything else.
The Worthy Magazine
We are putting the finishing touches on this edition of the Worthy Magazine — a breathtaking printed collection of portraits and stories from this series. Each page tells the story of a woman who said yes. Yes to herself. Yes to being seen. Yes to being celebrated.
It is a testament to the depth, beauty, and complexity of womanhood in all its forms — and it will be something these women treasure for the rest of their lives.
